The White Food Diet

Once you have had your teeth whitened it is best to stick to a mainly white diet for 24 hours to avoid any discolouration.

You can drink:

  • Still/sparkling water
  • Skimmed milk
  • Tonic water
  • Lemonade
  • White wine
  • Any alcohol that is clear: Vodka, Gin, Malibu

You can eat:

  • Chicken (dry or boiled with no fat on)
  • Turkey
  • White fish
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Caulliflour
  • Cottage cheese
  • Mashed potatoe
  • Baked potatoe (without skin)
  • Boiled potatoe
  • Rice crispies
  • Pitta bread (white)
  • Bananas
  • Bread

Avoid drinking:

  • Tea
  • Coffee
  • Cola
  • Fizzy drinks
  • Orange juice
  • Beer
  • Red wine
  • Any drinks that are coloured

Avoid eating:

  • Carrots
  • Peas
  • Brocollio
  • Sweetcorn
  • Beetroot
  • Sprouts
  • Mushrooms
  • Green beans
  • Tomatoes
  • Lettuce
  • Anything with wheat in
  • Bread
  • Fruit
  • Cream
  • Margerine/butter
  • Chocolate
  • Sweets

You should also avoid smoking for at least 24 hours. Smokers can use electronic cigarettes. Please do not use coloured mouthwash or toothpaste.
